About this Campaign
In 2017, Nebraska updated their science standards and Lincoln Public Schools adopted the Nebraska College and Career Ready Standards (NCCRS-S). These standards allow our students to spend more time doing inquiry, exploration, and wondering about science and the world around them.
In order to met our students' needs and provide them with more opportunities, the Science Department at Mickle Middle School would like to purchase 10, 9.7-inch iPads, cases, and charging station to use in science classrooms for grades sixth through eighth. These iPad's will allow students to take photos and videos of their science experiments and wonderings, control Sphero robots, learn using district approved apps, and provide for more opportunities for STEM in the science classroom. Students will be able to explain what they know and are learning in a different way beyond the traditional classroom methods.
These iPads will be stored in the library and will be able to be checked out on a cart by all Mickle Middle School science teachers in the building.
Requesting $4,424.12 plus cost reimbursement.
