About this Campaign

New state science standards were recently adopted by Lincoln Public Schools. The new standards are a shift for science teaching with more of an emphasis on exploratory learning. In science we want students to develop their own questions and create projects to answer those questions.

Sphero robots are able to help with developing more exploratory lessons for the students. Your gifts will buy 15 robots that would allow students to work in pairs on discovering the data to learn more. The Spheros will be stored in a power pack ensuring they will always have power and are ready to use.

Sphero robots allow students to create codes to collect data. They can work on developing data on: acceleration, velocity and speed. We can also use Sphero to map out planetary orbits, explore the Mars surface, explore states of matter and study physics.

The Sphero power pack will be housed in Mickle's library allowing other classes the chance to use it. Other applications can be for coding, math and used for clues in breakouts. Coding is the way of the future and this will help our students be more career ready by having those skills.

Requesting $2,499.99 plus cost reimbursement.
