About this Campaign
The Gresham-Barlow School District is taking the concept of a mobile STREAM lab to new levels with the creation of a STREAM bus!
STREAM is an acronym that stands for Science, Technology, Reading, Engineering, Art and Math.
The Tomorrow Bus provides K-8 grade students access to equipment, resources, and high-interest projects. Inspired staff will promote hands-on learning, exposure to career pathways and transferable skills and knowledge.
The bus was donated by First Student and is currently being outfitted by Knapheide for storage and technology support. Our next step is to make the bus engaging from the outside! Thanks to students at the Center for Advanced Learning, a wrap for the bus is being designed that will immediately communicate its purpose and get students excited to see what awaits them inside the bus. Camping World will be attaching an awning in the next couple of months.
While the infrastructure is coming together, our district Technology Coaches are working on the curriculum.
Your donation will be used to purchase curriculum material.
A $25 donation will buy STREAM learning material for 2 students. Art kits, magnets, eye droppers, and goggles are the basic items that begin the learning process.
A $50 donation will buy equipment to support STREAM teaching. All learning begins with reading, and students need books to support STREAM lessons. They also need balance scales, hot plates and more.
A $100 donation will purchase technology to support STREAM curriculum. Spheros, Ozobots, iPads and Chromebooks are all essential to put curriculum into action.
