About this Campaign

The medication and treatment cart will benefit all students and staff including our emergency first aid team.

• The mobile, secure cart would be used to provide medications and first aid care to students outside of the health room when the health room has ill and or isolated students inside.

• The cart would consolidate all medication and first aid supplies, not only allowing for more streamline use within the health room, but especially for emergency preparedness and movement of all supplies that are required to be taken outside for drills and in emergencies. Currently, when we have an evacuation, multiple small tubs with medications, two backpacks, and a large tackle box with first aid supplies are loaded into a wheelchair or wagon and pushed to the field while trying hard not to have things fall off. It is time consuming to evacuate the building, and difficult to move everything and keep it all together

• During an actual emergency, the cart would save time to evacuate from the building, and provide a clean work surface (on the top) that would be much needed work space in an emergency situation.

• The cart is light-weight aluminum and comes with heavy duty 5” castors, and a handle for maneuvering on campus.

Thank you for your consideration.  Jean Christensen, RN    (NCHS Nurse)
