About this Campaign

Culler Middle School's PBIS program is seeking donations for our contingent reward program, known as the Cougar Store. At Culler, teachers create positive relationships and a safe learning environment by recognizing students who are following schoolwide expectations. When students are “caught” being safe, responsible, and respectful, teachers give out Cougar Tickets. Students are motivated by the positive recognition and excited to receive the tickets. Tickets can then be “spent” at the Cougar Store, which is open once per month for each grade level.

This is the fourth year for the Cougar Store, and it is open to all 772 of our students. Culler Middle School is in a high-poverty area, and 78% of our students receive free or reduced prices for lunch. The Cougar Store has been funded in the past by pop-machine profits, teacher donations, and by the Fund-a-Need program.
At Culler, we gather data on student behavior and meet monthly to diagnose what's working well and what we can improve. We have seen an improvement in behavior (less time out of class) when we use the Cougar Tickets as a reinforcement tool for positive behavior and in turn those students that earn tickets love to use them at the Cougar Store.

Your gifts will help us purchase items for the Cougar Store. The products include, but are not limited to: pencils, notebooks, ear buds, small toys, fun gadgets, clothing items (hats, gloves, socks, etc.), phone cases, t-shirts, lanyards, basketballs, and anything else students might desire that are age appropriate. These funds will help ensure that kids are excited about the items that they can earn.
