About this Campaign
My students in Revenge of the Vocal Chords choir and 8th Street Singers are interested in participating in a middle-level barbershop that is being hosted by National Music Educators Association (NMEA). This additional barbershop class will allow the students to learn with peers from across Nebraska. They will be able to exercise and grow their musical talents and skills under the guidance of an outstanding conductor.
NMEA charges $60 per student. The students I work with are from lower-income families, and this additional expense could cause a burden on their families and prevent these students from attending. For most of these students, this barbershop will be a once-in-a-lifetime event that can encourage their love of music, build a stronger bond with their classmates, and improve their academic performance. Requesting $360 plus cost reimbursement.
