Rope In Some Ukes For Roper

We are excited to offer a specialized ukulele class during the day next year for the first time ever at Roper! Playing ukulele is simple to learn and keeps students engaged. Students can play a variety of music from classical to popular tunes. Playing ukulele has many benefits such as: increase in memory skills, improved coordination, and improved social skills. Students feel a sense of accomplishment when playing ukulele because of its accessibility and ease of learning, while continuing to see the value and joy of music. Your donation specifically will help purchase 20 ukuleles for the specialized ukulele class. Requesting $899 plus cost reimbursement.

Thank you so much for fulfilling my Fund-A-Need request for ukuleles.  I want our students to have as many musical opportunities as possible.  Ukuleles provide a fun and entertaining experience to play an instrument as well as sing at the same time.  We are in the process of ordering the ukuleles from a music store in town that was very highly recommended.  The ukuleles will be pre-tuned through a special process so that students can spend more time playing them instead of tuning them.  I appreciate your interest in Roper students and their music education.  You have made a difference to many.

An update from the Foundation for Lincoln Public Schools
