About this Campaign
Your gift supports music education at Pound Middle School. Vocal music classes of varying sizes need enough headphones for all students to utilize. These headphones would help students explore music technology, recording, and music research!
Funds to purchase:
- 33 Califone 3068AV Switchable Stereo/Mono Headphones
- 2 Clear totes
- Plastic bags to store the headophones
- Bleach-free disinfectant wipes
Covid-19 has completely changed the way vocal music classes function. The latest research is showing that vocal music teachers need to get creative in doing everything we can to avoid large group indoor singing. This is challenging because, well- large group indoor singing is what we do! In response I’ve been pivoting my classes towards a “creator” mindset. Students are using technology to create a variety of music projects while smaller groups of students are performing music “live.” Having a class set of high quality headphones available will make this whole system much better! Hopefully this will move the music culture in an even better direction at Pound in the future!
