About this Campaign
Hello! My name is Brittney Hodges-Bolkovac and this year I have taken on a role which allows me to connect our students of color with one another through cultural leadership groups. My young African American Girls Empowerment group has expressed interest in learning about hair care, culture through food and cooking and traditions and as such, we are in need of supplies. These will range from hair products (mannequins/supplies) which will allow them to learn things like braiding and self care, to items for vision boards or for our food/culture units, how to move with pride, poise and purpose, field trips to cultural events, community service projects and more!
Anything will help and I am excited to help these young ladies work towards having a positive self-efficacy and deeper understanding of their culture. Requesting $1,000 plus cost reimbursement.
