About this Campaign
Hi, we are teachers at Clinton Elementary School in Lincoln, Nebraska. We are a Title I school where 95 percent of our students qualify for free and reduced lunch. We have a diverse population of students. 42% are Middle Eastern/White, 25% are Black/African American, 24% are Hispanic/Latino, 8% are Two or More Race and 1% are American Indian. Currently in LPS the graduation rate for African American students is 64.9%. With our demographics that is approximately 35 African American students who would not graduate. This equates to a class and half of Kindergarten students without including the graduation rates of other diverse populations of students we have at Clinton.

At Clinton Elementary we start emphasizing the importance of High School and College Graduation for all students right away. We want to instill this expectation in students by holding a graduation ceremony for Kindergartners. Requesting $900 plus cost reimbursement.
