Mickle Walking Path - Phase 2

Thank you for a successful Phase 1 campaign and installation of the first half of our walking path!
Mickle Middle School is requesting to have funds for the 2nd half of a large walking path added to the activity field on the east playground.

Completion of phase 1 is now being used and surrounds half the playground.  Once the second half is complete, this path would be utilized by students for physical activity during recess, P.E. classes, and during after-school intramural activities. Additionally, this path will be open to the community allowing for a place for community members to walk after school hours.  It is also hoped that exercise stations could be added to portions of the path as is present in many parks around Lincoln.

Work for phase 2 is possible to begin in the summer of 2023 at the same time as planned building renovations thanks to the passage of the 2020 bond issue. 

Requesting $52,620.00 plus cost reimbursement.
