About this Campaign
Hi, we are teachers at Clinton Elementary School in Lincoln, Nebraska. We are a Title I school where 95 percent of our students qualify for free and reduced lunch. Your gift will make it possible for 61 kindergarten students to take home a published book they are the authors and illustrators of to cherish with their families for a lifetime.
Requesting $1,278 plus cost reimbursement.
Throughout the school year, we have been practicing our writing skills by sounding out words, using capital letters when needed, detailed artwork, punctuation, and spaces between words. Through the publication of this book, students are able to showcase everything they have learned in Kindergarten. As a class, we collaborate to decide on a topic and title for our story. Students work through the writing progress of making a rough draft, revising, and writing a final copy. Our students put in a lot of effort to create these books and are proud to show them to their families. Not all our families are able to purchase a book. We are asking for the funds to purchase 1 book per student author.
