Sustain PANgea

PANgea is seeking funds to help cover annual steel drum tuning costs of $2,500.

The Need:
Each year, PANgea performs at many events throughout the Lincoln community. In order to keep the steel drums in tune with each other, we must bring in a specialist to hand-hammer each note for all of our steel drums. This is a delicate and time-intensive process that only a handful of people in the U.S. are qualified to do. With rising travel costs, it has started to become challenging to ensure we are able to do this each year. 

There is no annual budget allotted for PANgea. As a result, performances and donations help sustain the group. Typically, any money received from performances are only enough to cover our expenses related to truck rental. Which means that donations are critical to help keep our equipment in working order to provide for the students. 

About PANgea:
Founded in 2003, PANgea is the only group of its kind in Nebraska. We provide unique musical opportunities to middle and high school students in grades 6 through 12 throughout the city of Lincoln while serving as an ambassador for LPS and the arts within our public schools.
