Everett K-2 Students go to the Theater

Everett Elementary is a Title 1 school in the heart of Lincoln, NE. The students, families, and staff at Everett are passionate about education. 90% of Everett's students are impoverished and there is a 26% mobility rate. Our minority student enrollment is 78% and 41% are English Learners. Mostly likely, our students will never be able to attend an event at the Lied Center for Performing Arts, unless we provide it for them. This opportunity is once in a lifetime and will allow our students the ability to build background knowledge and more effectively engage with many of our curriculums across their day. This will provide funding for bussing  to and from the event. it will also purchase a few extra tickets for the students , who move into our attendance area. We are requesting $350 plus administration fees for our field trip to the Lied Center!
