About this Campaign
Greetings from Yeti Nation!
Our Mission
Yankee Hill Education (YHEC) is a Behavioral High School Focus Program within Lincoln Public Schools. We serve 9th–12th grade students with diverse special education needs, providing a small, highly structured, and predictable environment. Every student at YHEC is supported not only by a dedicated academic team but also by an assigned therapist, ensuring we address both individual goals and social-emotional growth.
At YHEC, we focus on shared community expectations and helping students learn what it means to be a positive, contributing member of a school community. Our students arrive from every comprehensive high school in the district—some aiming to transition back, others finding their perfect path to graduation with us.
The Opportunity
We are constantly seeking ways to improve student connection to school, as we know this drives attendance and graduation rates. Starting in the 2026-2027 school year, YHEC will launch a new Yearbook class. During our summer photojournalism programming, we witnessed our students spark to life, using photography to tell their unique stories.
We realized that for many of our students, the traditional high school yearbook experience is often out of reach—either because they feel disconnected from their home high school or because purchasing one is a financial burden. We want to change that. We want every student at Yankee Hill to have a tangible record of their journey, their accomplishments, and their place in the Yeti Nation.
The Need
The barrier to this goal is funding. Currently, a significant portion of our population qualifies for Free and Reduced Lunch. While we strive to meet our students' basic needs, asking families to purchase a yearbook creates a significant struggle.
Your Impact
Your donation will go directly toward ensuring every student at Yankee Hill receives a yearbook at the end of the 2026-2027 school year.
Students in our Yearbook class will use industry-standard software to capture everything from everyday moments at YHEC to major milestones, like our annual LPS Fishing Tournament (which, we are proud to say, Yankee Hill won in a landslide victory last spring!).
By contributing, you are helping us turn this yearbook into a cherished tradition—a way for our students to find pride in themselves and their connection to Yankee Hill.
