About this Campaign

Lincoln Southeast High School is seeking support to replace most of our marching drumline carriers. Many of our current carriers have been assembled from parts of a variety of current and older models and are now showing significant wear. Back braces and pads are deteriorating or no longer adhere properly to the hardware, while many adjustment mechanisms have become stripped or unreliable.

These issues significantly limit our ability to properly fit carriers to the wide range of body types represented by our students. Marching percussion instruments are heavy, but with proper training, core strength, and a correctly fitted carrier, students can carry them safely and comfortably. Newer carrier models also provide additional adjustment points, allowing for more precise fitting and greater comfort. When equipment cannot be adjusted appropriately, however, it can create unnecessary discomfort, increase the risk of injury, and discourage students from continuing in marching percussion.

Replacing these carriers would provide our students with reliable, modern equipment that supports both their physical well-being and musical development. We are seeking $5,000 plus cost reimbursement to help make this important investment in the safety, comfort, and future of our students.

With appreciation,
Lincoln Southeast Band Staff and Students
