About this Campaign
Lincoln Southeast’s Varsity and Prep Show Choirs are two of the newest show choirs in the district. Lincoln Southeast has been known for having a long and storied history of excellent choirs, including swing choir. As we transition to include show choirs in our program, we are in need of help with start up costs. We have a passionate group of young prep and varsity singers in grades 9-12 who are excited for this new opportunity.
Starting a show choir program from scratch is expensive! Your gift will help cover costs for choreography, garment bags, instruments, wages for show band staff, transportation, music arrangements, music licensing, and contest fees. What follows is a breakdown of just some of our expenses:
We anticipate needing $3600 for bussing students in order to perform at several show choir competitions in the surrounding area. Garment bags for costumes will be roughly $850. Choreography will cost a minimum of $2000, and music arrangements and licensing will cost hundreds of dollars per song, totalling $2000. $6400 will go toward paying an accompanist and show choir band director. We also anticipate needing synthesizers, mic cradles, background or set pieces, and a drum set. Requesting an initial start up amount of $18,000 for plus cost reimbursement.
