About this Campaign
To enhance our Life Cycles science unit, five classrooms of Maxey third graders have been hatching trout in the classroom and watching them grow into trout fry for the last several years. There are few places to successfully release the trout. We have been releasing ours at Schramm State Park.
We have been able to come up with funds to pay for the bus transportation for all of our students, but because Schramm Park has gone through major renovations and now charges each child a $4 fee, we have to look into additional funding. The amount I'm wishing to collect would get all of our third graders into the park for the day of the trout release where they will also enjoy activities for the day that use the rich outdoor environment to enrich their knowledge of life cycles. Requesting $500 plus cost reimbursement.
