About this Campaign
Your gift would help my classroom library, giving access to about 600 students within a Title 1 school (as well as future students). It also gives me the ability to give students their own cookbooks. Cookbooks show the importance of reading carefully. Missing a step in the instructions, and the dish could be ruined. Cookbooks are interactive; they demand that kids think. Cookbooks help build bonds between adults and kids when they are working together.
These books would allow students in a Title 1 school to have access to cookbooks that focus on budget-friendly and affordable recipes that would benefit not only the students, but their families as well. Requesting $1,800 plus cost reimbursement.
I have given out many cookbooks over my years of teaching. The excitement and the stories they tell me of their cooking endeavors never gets old.
