About this Campaign

The Student Identity Through Embroidery Panel project will give students the opportunity to explore their personal identity and how it is influenced by their ethnicity, pop culture, family history, personal experiences and interests. Students will identify the elements most essential to their identity and think through how to best express them in a collage using photos, text, and symbols. The resulting images will be printed onto fabric that students will then embroider and embellish to add another personal touch, new skillset and layer of meaning. The project will culminate in an evening community event where students will showcase their artwork to staff, family, and community members.

To complete this project we need funds to purchase fabric, embroidery floss, ribbons, beads, embroidery hoops, batting, dowels and other materials. Requesting $1,000 plus cost reimbursement.
