About this Campaign
Building community is crucial to making students comfortable enough to try new and creative ideas in music. Drumming in community is one accessible way for students to practice skills, build relationships, and learn about other cultures.
Currently, there are only a few well-loved drums available at Everett. We would like to purchase 12 drums to replace and augment our collection. Requesting $2,070 plus cost reimbursement.
The Remo Versa drums are a nesting tubano with removable heads that double as hand drums. With these drums, we will be able to have a rotation with just two people sharing a drum compared to the long line of students waiting for a chance to play the few drums we have. We can't wait to use these beautiful instruments to develop community and creativity through music!
