About this Campaign
Currently, a number of Pershing Elementary fifth-grade students have never explored the Henry Doorly Zoo. In science, the big push is to understand and reflect on ecosystems and the world around us. This trip would provide students with the opportunity to learn about ecosystems around the world in order to transform them in becoming global citizens.
Your gifts will help them personally explore the Desert Dome, the Aquarium, the Lied Jungle, and many other exhibits that will provide them with hands-on experiences in each of the biomes. This will generate life experiences that build upon the knowledge that they have worked so hard to acquire during class.
Requesting $1,000 plus cost reimbursement to help purchase a bus for the day and admission to the zoo for the students.
