LHS Math Team Competition

The Lincoln High School Math Team would like to participate in multiple math competitions each school year.  These contests give team members the opportunity to work together to solve complex mathematical problems, compete against their peers in a positive environment, and develop relationships with like-minded students at their school.  Our club meets every Thursday after school to prepare for these competitions. The competitions provide motivation for team members to attend the Thursday practices and increases engagement in their math classes. Many students also prepare for these competitions individually at home.  

The competitions that the Lincoln High team has attended in the past include UNL Math Day, UNO Math Day, Lexington HS competition, American Mathematics Contest (at LHS), and Arete Labs Math Madness (online competition).

All funding raised in this campaign will go directly to entry fees and transportation costs that reduce the cost for team members to participate. Requesting $800 plus cost reimbursement.
