Future Ready Library at Scott Middle School

At the Scott Middle School Library, students and staff alike can be seen using the space in a variety of ways. While the library classroom is used traditionally, the Scott Library is looking to add a more casual space for collaborations.

As educators, Future Ready Librarians lead, teach, and support learners both young and old. Embracing change and innovation, Future Ready Librarians teach and promote diverse literacies, integrating engaging digital tools, and collaborating with leaders and colleagues to implement equitable and inclusive learning environments in their libraries and beyond. A Future Ready Library provides spaces that promote inquiry, creativity, collaboration, and community.

A space with collaborative furniture will encourage teamwork, foster the exchange of knowledge, and create a welcoming and cozy area for all types of learners. Our library is at the heart of the school and is a wonderful place for learning. The addition of new furniture will help transform our space and take the next steps to making our library Future Ready.

Your gifts will go toward 2 boomerang benches ($4,788), 2 sofas with back ledge ($5,867), 1 corner unit sofa with back ledge ($4,282), 1 round coffee table ($707) and 7 counter height stools ($2,176). (Similar to the Lincoln Northeast High School Library.)

We are requesting $17,820 plus cost reimbursement.
