Total Donation Goal $741 $741.17 Funded
This campaign has ended and has been fully funded. If you made a donation, thank you.
About this Campaign
Goodrich Middle School is a diverse, Title 1 school aimed at building thoughtful, invested, cooperative, and kind students. This year we are seeking to celebrate those traits in our over 300 8th graders through high school transition festivities. It has been many years since we have been able to host a real celebration for our 8th graders. This transition event would allow us to recognize the hard work our students have put into their middle school careers and strengthen our relationships with the Goodrich community. Likewise, this event would help emphasize the importance of graduation and instill pride in the work it takes to achieve it, a lesson we hope to leave them with as they begin their high school careers.
Your donations will allow us to host a “Float On To High School” celebration for our 8th graders and their families, including the purchase of root beer float materials, individualized postcards, and summer-themed decorations. Likewise, these funds would allow us to purchase popsicles and pizza as a prize for the winning 8th grade team’s last week of school competition where students can commemorate their time at Goodrich with friends. Requesting $650 plus cost reimbursement. Thank you for your consideration in helping make this milestone memorable for our Dragons!
Update - May 20th, 2025 at 10:30PM
We'd like to extend a huge thank you to all who helped us reach our goal! Your generous donations allowed us to host our first real 8th grade celebration event in years. Students were able to invite their families to celebrate their middle school accomplishments and involvements, contribute to a mural of their time at Goodrich, and enjoy root beer floats. This day has helped acknowledge all of the hard work students have put in throughout the year, and has emphasized the grit and pride associated with school transitions as they "float onto high school" at the end of the week.
Thank you so much!
