About this Campaign
This experience would be especially impactful, as many of our students have never had the opportunity to visit the Omaha zoo before.
We are currently studying animals in class, and this trip would allow students to deepen their understanding by seeing the animals they are learning about up close. For many of our students, this would also be a deeply personal experience—several of the animals we study are native to their home countries, and seeing them in person may evoke meaningful memories and connections.
This trip offers more than just a day out—it would provide a powerful, visual, and hands-on learning experience that supports both language development and content knowledge in science. It would also help build community and belonging for our newcomer students by connecting their learning to real-world experiences. Requesting $1,100 plus cost reimbursement.
