At Scott Middle School, we believe in nurturing every aspect of our students' growth – academic, social, and emotional. That's why we're thrilled to share an exciting new development: the creation of our dedicated Counseling Center, strategically located within the school Library for easy access and a welcoming environment.
We've just completed the first phase of construction, which includes two new offices. Next summer, we'll be adding two more, expanding our capacity to serve even more students. This isn't just about adding rooms; it's about creating a dynamic and supportive hub where our counseling team can truly thrive and, most importantly, where our students can find the help and resources they need.

More Than Just Offices: A Sanctuary for Student Well-being
Our vision for the Scott Middle School Counseling Center goes far beyond a typical office space. This will be a collaborative environment where our counselors can:

Work together seamlessly: Counselors will be able to easily collaborate, share insights, and develop comprehensive strategies to support our students.
Provide immediate support: When students face a crisis or need immediate assistance, our counselors can support each other, ensuring no student feels alone.

Facilitate vital programs: The center will be a dedicated space for running small groups, delivering mini-lessons on crucial life skills, and offering workshops that address a range of student needs.
Offer a calm refuge: We envision a quiet spot where students can take a much-needed break from the pressures of the day, allowing them to de-stress and re-center.

Empower students with skills: This space will be specifically designed to help de-escalate challenging situations, promote calm, and guide students in developing essential personal and coping skills that will serve them long beyond their middle school years.
