The Foundation for LPS fills critical funding gaps by supporting student needs and opportunities that fall outside the district’s general fund commitments. Through philanthropy, the Foundation for Lincoln Public Schools supports students, empowers educators, and strengthens schools in meaningful, tangible ways.

Supporting Students
Success at school depends on more than academics alone. The Foundation supports students by addressing real-world barriers, helping cover costs for school meals, AP testing fees, driver’s education, athletic participation, and scholarships for graduating seniors. When these barriers are removed, students can focus on learning, growing, and reaching their full potential.

Empowering Educators
Educators do more than teach; they innovate, inspire, and adapt to meet students’ needs. The Foundation empowers educators in a variety of ways: classroom grants provide resources for everyday instruction; professional development opportunities help teachers refine their skills; award recognition celebrates excellence in the classroom; and Fund a Need initiatives allow educators to crowd-fund for enriching experiences, special projects, and additional resources that enhance learning. Together, these supports provide educators with the tools, training, and recognition they need to create meaningful, engaging, and equitable experiences for all students.

Strengthening Our Schools
Strong schools are built through collaboration, innovation, and community support. The Foundation strengthens schools across LPS by investing in programs and initiatives that enhance the learning environment.
