Teaching Technology, Books, and Supplies

This school year, I am at a new building and new grade level. This means that I have new needs in order to help my students succeed. I am asking for technology items, classroom library books, and supplies for students to help with teaching.

The teaching technology items include sturdy student headphones and items for my teaching computer. The headphones can be used for multiple years and are a good investment. This allows students to be able to focus on their chromebook without disrupting those around them. The camera lens and microphone for the teacher computer is so that my remote learners can better see and hear what goes on in the classroom. In addition, this will also be helpful for when I record myself teach so that I can reflect upon my own teaching ability and make the needed adjustments to help students better grow as learners.

I am also asking for new classroom library books to help diversify my classroom library. I serve a wide range of diverse students and I would love to have books that reflect them in my classroom library. Research has shown that when students have books that reflect who they identify as then they are more likely to get excited about reading and feel a part of the community.

Finally I am asking for supplies for my classroom. I switched grade levels and I switched buildings, so I am in need of some items for my students that will be used for multiple years. Requesting $901 plus cost reimbursement.
