Southeast High Bel Canto Virtual Choir

Requesting $500 plus cost reimbursement.For over 30 years, members of the Lincoln Southeast High School madrigal choir, Bel Canto, have performed an a capella choral arrangement of the song "That Lonesome Road" for the end of year concert, "A Little Knight Music." Sadly, because of Covid, we were not able to perform the song last year (2020).

In honor of all past and present members of Bel Canto, we would like to produce a virtual choir presentation of the song "That Lonesome Road." Past members of Bel Canto, including those graduating students who were not able to perform last year, will be invited to submit a recording of themselves singing his/her part on the song. They will do this with the assistance of a carefully marked score, rehearsal tracks, and a video of the director, Missy Noonan, conducting the song.

This Fund-a-Need project will cover the costs ($500 plus cost reimbursement) of  engineering a virtual choir presentation incorporating audio and video of all singers into one video. The premiere of the video will be during the 2021 choral banquet on May 13.

The song "That Lonesome Road" is a significant song for Bel Canto. So much so that, each year, the group requests to sing it again and continue this beloved tradition. We are incredibly grateful for Fund a Need donations that can make this project possible!
