About this Campaign

Rousseau fifth-grade students have an incredible opportunity coming at the end of their last year in elementary school. Fifth graders will go to the Henry Doorly Zoo in Omaha as a culmination of three engaging projects! Students choose an animal found at the Omaha zoo and complete a PowerPoint to teach others about their animal. Next, students design and create an animal game board to play, including information from their presentation. Finally, after learning from a guest engineer about math skills needed when completing a project, students design a unique zoo using area, perimeter, and other math skills.

We are requesting funds for transportation to Omaha and admission for students to the zoo. Not only does this trip help  build lasting memories, but it also allows students to observe the animal they researched and experience a real zoo trip.  Requesting $1,000 plus cost reimbursement.
