West Lincoln English Learners Field Trip

West Lincoln Elementary is one of the oldest schools in LPS. Our school has 148 English Learners who speak 12 different languages. Many of our students are new to the country and might not have as many opportunities to explore our city. That is why we are going to take a field trip to the Lincoln Children's Museum with our 2nd-5th graders. 

This field trip will be a chance for students who speak the same language to connect across grade levels, as well as an opportunity for our older students to act as leaders and role models for our younger students. We are excited to give so many of our English Learners the opportunity to ride on the bus, explore the Children's Museum, practice their use of language, and spend time connecting and building valuable friendships with their peers. Requesting $360 plus cost reimbursement.
