About this Campaign

Each year, Lincoln High ELL Geography students eagerly anticipate our annual trip to the Omaha Henry Doorly Zoo! For many of our students, this is their very first visit to a zoo—what an incredible opportunity to experience one of the world’s top zoos! This field trip allows us to bring key elements of the ELL Geography and Science curriculum to life in a hands-on way. What better way to introduce Nebraska students to the Desert Biome than by exploring the Desert Dome at the zoo? Our zoo trip also serves as a celebration of the hard work and accomplishments throughout the school year. We sincerely appreciate your consideration of this request and are excited about the possibility of making this memorable experience a reality for our ELL students. We are requesting $2,500, plus cost reimbursement, to cover the expenses for zoo admission for over 100 Students and transportation to and from Omaha. Thank you so much for your thoughtful consideration!
