Helping Little Readers Hear Their Voice

Hi, we are teachers at Clinton Elementary School in Lincoln, Nebraska. We are a Title I school where 95 percent of our students qualify for free and reduced lunch. Your gift will help every second-grade student get a whisper phone to use during reading time. Whisper phones help students hear themselves read and stay focused while they practice their reading skills.

In second grade, students are transitioning from learning to read to reading to learn. Whisper phones allow them to practice independently, self-correct mistakes, and build strong reading habits in a supportive way. Teachers have seen increased engagement and improved reading outcomes when these tools are available in the classroom.

We are hoping to raise funds to purchase whisper phones so that every second-grade student has access to one during reading time. Any donation—large or small—will directly support our students and help create a more effective learning environment. Requesting $1,300 plus cost reimbursement.
