6th Grade AVID T-Shirts for Scott Middle School

At Scott Middle School, we are committed to building a strong, supportive community for our AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) students. This is the second year AVID has been implemented at Scott, and as the program continues to grow, we are focused on creating a consistent and inclusive AVID identity across all grade levels. One meaningful way to foster this sense of unity is by providing matching AVID t-shirts for students and staff, including our 6th grade AVID students, so they have the same shirts currently worn by our 7th and 8th grade AVID students.

These t-shirts instill pride, belonging, and a shared sense of purpose while serving as a visible reminder of our collective dedication to academic success. Our AVID teachers are deeply committed to helping students reach their full potential by providing academic guidance, mentorship, and social-emotional support. Wearing AVID t-shirts during school days, events, and field trips helps students feel connected to their peers and teachers, reinforcing the positive, collaborative environment we strive to create.

In addition to building community, the AVID t-shirts serve as an important safety tool during field trips, allowing staff to easily identify Scott AVID students. Providing the same shirts for all AVID students promotes equity, consistency, and inclusion, ensuring that our 6th graders feel fully welcomed into the AVID program from the start.

Your donation will directly support these efforts and help strengthen our AVID community as it continues to grow. We are requesting $400 plus cost reimbursement. Together, we can ensure that every AVID student at Scott feels connected, supported, and empowered to succeed.
